Hyperonyms and Hyponyms

it is good practice for terms which are all specifics of the same generic (otherwise known in the lexicographic tradition as hyperonyms which share the same hyponym) to cast their definitions in the same structure.

Often in IAM terminology we encounter generic or umbrella terms that may be further specialized for example in the IAM sub-domains (Workforce IAM, Technical IAM, Federation IAM, Objects IAM, Customers IAM). In these circumstances, we recommend to keep it as a single entry in the dictionary with one generic definition and n specialized complementary definitions. Judgement must be applied, because if a specialized term becomes of salient importance, it may be promoted to dedicated entry.
