Finding a solution to add a social media toolbar to Confluence pages hasn’t been so easy. We have now developed a standard solution and this procedure shows how to implement it on any page.

This is the simple procedure for those who just wants to add the toolbar to a page without getting into the technical details of how it is implemented.

Find a page where the social media toolbar is already present and where you have modify permission.

Enter in edition mode by clicking the edit button in the upper right corner of the page.

Select the Bob Swift HTML macro that correspond to the social media toolbar. A blue border will highlight the macro.

Copy the macro (Ctrl-C on Windows).

Go back to the page where you want to add the toolbar.

Enter in edition mode by clicking the edit button in the upper right corner of the page.

Place the cursor where you want to put the toolbar.

Paste the macro (Ctrl-V on Windows).

Publish the page.
